Keep Rank Math as the owner of schema responsibilities already managed accurately in its graph. Use custom JSON-LD only when a documented page requirement needs a deliberately assigned owner and the new block does not conflict with existing output. Audit rendered JSON-LD first. This is an ownership decision, not a format contest
Both systems can output valid JSON-LD. The risk appears when two systems describe the same responsibility with different names, URLs, entity IDs, dates, products, authors, or breadcrumbs. Several complementary blocks can coexist, but each responsibility needs a clear owner.

Ownership workflow
1. Audit rendered JSON-LD
Inspect the live response across representative post types and templates. Inventory each block, @type, @id, referenced entity, data source, and plugin or theme owner. Do not rely only on an editor panel.
2. Identify the responsibility
Separate organization, website, breadcrumbs, article, product, FAQ, local business, and page-specific responsibilities. The presence of several types is not automatically duplication.
3. Compare entity IDs and meaning
Two blocks can use different types while describing linked parts of one graph. Conflicts are more likely when the same entity or page responsibility is repeated with inconsistent @id values or properties.
4. Keep external schema view-only
Bulk SEO Studio detects external JSON-LD for conflict review but does not import Rank Math output into editable storage. Manage Rank Math-owned schema inside Rank Math unless ownership is intentionally changed.
5. Create only assigned plugin-owned blocks
Add a custom block only when the page requirement, visible evidence, responsible owner, and removal path are documented. Do not add a second block merely because a validator accepts its syntax.
6. Inspect mandatory Preview
Review the proposed JSON-LD, target URLs, existing same-type output, and field-level values before publishing. Resolve ownership conflicts rather than hiding them behind different formatting.
7. Validate live output
After publishing and clearing caches, inspect the rendered page and test representative URLs. Validation checks syntax and eligibility signals, while a human still needs to confirm truth, ownership, and visible-content support.
When complementary schema can coexist
- A WebSite or Organization entity is referenced consistently by page-level data.
- BreadcrumbList describes navigation while Article describes the editorial page.
- Product data and an accurate BreadcrumbList cover different responsibilities.
- A page-specific block links to an existing entity with a stable @id.
Conflict warning signs
- Two Article blocks disagree about headline, author, or dates.
- Several BreadcrumbList blocks describe different paths.
- Product blocks disagree about price, availability, or identity.
- FAQPage markup exists without matching visible questions and answers.
- The same organization is repeated with unrelated @id values.
- No team member knows which system should update or remove the block.
